Account & Login

Get started by creating and managing your account. Here’s how to log in, recover access, and update your details easily.

  • How do I create an account?

    You can sign up using your desktop to visit app.skillndepth.comor download the app from Google Playor the Apple Store. Just follow the steps to enter your name, email, and set a password. You’ll also be asked to choose your role (e.g. diver, company, etc.).

  • I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

    Click “Forgot Password?” on the login screen. Enter your email and we’ll send you a link to reset it.

  • Can I use the same login on both web and mobile app?

    Yes! Your account works on both platforms. You can log in with the same email and password.

  • Can I change my email address or password later?

    Yes. Go to your profile settings to update your login details at any time.

  • How do I delete or deactivate my account?

    Go to your Account management section under your profile and click “Delete account”. After your confirmation all your data will be deleted.

  • App Access & Navigation

    Whether you're using the app at sea or on land, this section covers how to access and navigate the platform on mobile and web.

  • Is the app available on both iOS and Android?

    Yes! You can download it from the Apple Store(iOS) or Google Play(Android).

  • Can I use the app offline while diving or on a vessel?

    Some features like viewing your profile or dive logs may work offline. However, actions like uploading data or applying for jobs require an internet connection.

  • How do I update the app to the latest version?

    Go to your app store and check for updates. We recommend keeping the app updated for best performance.

  • Why is the app asking for location or camera access?

    We use your location for dive site tagging and your camera to let you upload certificates or profile pictures easily.

  • The app is slow or crashing — what can I do?

    Try restarting your device or reinstalling the app. If the issue continues, please contact support via email support@skillndepth.com.

  • Onboarding & Verification

    New to the platform? This section guides you through setting up your profile, uploading essential documents, and getting verified so you can confidently connect with diving projects and organizations worldwide.

  • What documents or information do I need to have on hand during onboarding?

    Have your professional diving certifications, recent dive logs, company employment details, personal identification and profile picture ready to upload. Each item must be in PDF or JPEG format.

  • Can I complete the onboarding form in my native language?

    Currently, onboarding must be completed in English to ensure consistency and accuracy across all platform entries.

  • Are all questions on the Skill N Depth onboarding form mandatory?

    No, all questions are not necessary to complete the onboarding process and to enable access to the Skill N Depth platform. However, there are mandatory fields that need to be completed for verification of your profile.

  • What are minimal requirements for my profile to be completed and verified?

    Following sections should fulfilled in order your profile to be completed:

  • Personal info – Provide necessary personal info and upload your profile picture.
  • Identification and travel – Provide one of the following: National ID, National driving license or Passport.
  • Education and training – Provide details of your formal education and professional training you have taken.
  • Skills and experience – Provide your experience and skills.
  • How can I save my application and return to it later?

    You can save your progress by selecting “Save and Log out.” Use your credentials to log in the app at a later time.

  • What should I do if my internet connection is lost? Will my information be saved?

    Your progress is saved every time you select "Save". If your session times out or you lose connection, return to the app to continue your onboarding from the last saved point.

  • What does “verified user” mean?

    The Skill N Depth uses Persona to provide a thorough identity verification process for its users. Verifying identities is a key part of maintaining the authenticity and security of user profiles, which allows users to access features like verified dive records and participation in projects. Persona verification will be enabled after your profile is completed.

  • How do I download or save a copy of my completed CV?

    Once submitted, you’ll have the option to download a PDF copy of your completed CV.

  • Certificates

    Manage and apply for professional certifications directly through your profile. This section explains how to start a new certificate request, provide the required information, and complete payment securely.

  • How do I apply for a new certificate?

    Go to your profile sidebar and click “Certificates”. In the Certificates area, select “Certificate applications” and then click “Apply for certificate.” Currently, only ADCI certificate applications are available. Use the dropdown to choose your desired certificate type (e.g., Mixed Gas Diver) and review the price and validity period.

  • What information is required for the application?

    You’ll need to provide your address details (street, city, state, zip code, country). If not already in your profile, you’ll also be asked for phone number and Driver’s license or National ID.

  • Is there an option to expedite my application?

    Yes. You can select from dropdown different expedite options.

  • How do I complete payment?

    After submitting your application, you’ll be redirected to Stripe. Enter your payment details (email, cardholder name, card number, expiration date, CVC code, billing country) and click Pay. Once successful, you’ll be redirected back to the platform.

  • How do I add an existing certificate?

    In the Certificates section of your profile, click “Add certificate”. Select the certificate type, enter its details (issuing authority, issue date, expiration date), and upload a supporting document (scan or photo).

  • Can I upload multiple certificates?

    Yes. You can add as many certificates as needed.

  • Can I edit or update an existing certificate?

    Yes, certificates you have uploaded can be edited (e.g., updating expiration date or re-uploading proof). However, if a certificate has already been verified by an authority, editing is limited to preserve authenticity.

  • How do I see the status of my certificates?

    Each certificate will display a status:

  • Pending verification – submitted but not yet reviewed.
  • Verified – confirmed by SND personnel.
  • Expired – no longer valid and needs renewal.
  • Can I renew an expired certificate?

    Yes. Select the expired certificate and follow the renewal instructions. Depending on the certificate type, you may need to upload updated documentation or reapply through the application process.

  • Dive Logs

    Log your dives, keep your records safe, and stay compliant. This section explains how to add, edit, and verify your diving history.

  • How do I add a new dive log?

    On the homepage click “Create a dive record” and add a dive historical dive record. Fill in the details like location, depth, date, and equipment used.

  • Can I import dive logs from my dive computer or another app?

    We’re working on integrations. For now, you can manually enter the details or upload a supporting file in the “Uploaded dive records” section under your profile.

  • How are dive records verified?

    Your dive supervisor or a company can verify your record. Verified dives show the level of verification. More details on verification details can be found on the link.

  • Can I edit a dive log?

    Yes, until it’s verified. After that, editing is restricted for authenticity.

  • What does each dive status (e.g. pending, verified) mean?

    Each dive record progresses through specific statuses, reflecting its journey from initial creation to final verification. More details on verification details can be found on the link.

  • Jobs, Projects & Applications

    Apply for projects, manage invitations, and understand how the hiring process works within the app.

  • How do I apply for a diving job or project?

    Go to the Jobs or Projects section, select a job you like, and tap “Apply for a position”.

  • Can companies see my profile before I apply?

    Only limited info is visible. Full profiles are shown once you apply or accept an invitation.

  • How do I know if I’ve been accepted or rejected?

    You’ll receive a notification and see the status in the project section.

  • What does it mean to join a project team?

    It means you’ve been selected for a diving project. Your details and availability will be shared with the team.

  • Notifications & Communication

    Stay informed with timely updates and messages. Here’s how notifications work and how to manage communication settings.

  • Will I get notifications for new jobs or messages?

    Yes, you’ll receive app and email notifications unless you turn them off.

  • How can I chat with other users or project managers?

    Use the in-app chat feature.

  • Can I turn off certain notifications?

    Yes. Go to Notification Settings and choose what you want to receive.

  • Why am I not receiving email notifications?

    Check your spam/junk folder. Also, check app settings.

  • Is there a way to report abusive behavior or spam?

    Yes, you can report by contacting our support team.

  • Data & Privacy

    Your data is protected. Learn how we handle your information and how you can control your privacy and data sharing.

  • Can I hide some parts of my profile from others?

    Yes. You can choose what’s visible to others in Data access control under the Settings & Privacy section.

  • Is my data secure and private?

    Yes. We use industry-standard encryption and follow privacy laws like GDPR.

  • Who can see my information and dive records?

    Only you and companies you apply to (or who invite you) can see full details if you allowed. Others see limited info.

  • Can I control what is shared with companies or others?

    Yes, go to your Data access control under the Settings & Privacy section and manage visibility of each section.

  • Is this app GDPR compliant?

    Yes. We follow GDPR standards and respect your rights as a user.

  • General Use & Support

  • Is there a fee to use the app?

    Basic use is free. Premium features or verification services may include a fee, which is clearly shown.
